Week 18 Bang Khae

Dear Family and Friends

I dont know how to describe the people that Elder Taylor and I taught this week. I think it would be best to say that we testified and the power of the spirit was there.
We taught this Atheist guy who after only 4 days wanted to return the Book of Mormon. He said," I didnt get my answer, so I want to return this." Elder Taylor and I just went off on the guy to say the least. This guy was all about science and processes. He was telling us about how he need to see results quickly or what he was doing wasnt worth it and needed to change. "Do you think that you can come learn with us for 4 days and expect results? Do you think Heavenly Father is going to give you what you want when you want it? NO! I personally think that you didnt pray with sincerity", I told him. The look on his face told us the rest. It didnt really seem like he wanted to know. "What if you were alive 200 years ago? Would you have the same technology that you do have today? Could you use Google? How would you then get your answers? You would have to study.", we told him. He dropped himself and then left the church. Well he can always come back.

Another lesson that I want to tell you about was a less active that we went to go teach. It quickly came up that she hadnt been to church for a while and didnt seem like she was going to go back at all. She was telling us that she got bored of it and wasnt fun. Elder Taylor asked her is she knew what the word "covenant" meant. She said she did and then he pulled out the baptismal questions and told her," When you were interviewed for baptism you promised that you keep all the commandments. Did you lie when you were interviewed?" "No I didnt lie. They (she didnt say who "they" were) said that if I didnt like it I could go back to my old ways", she said. Elder Taylor just testified to her that what she was doing was wrong and that she needed to repent. As I sat there I just listened to what the member was saying. "If my friends wanted to go get a drink I would want to go with them and have some fun. Its just a little drinking no big deal", she said. She said a few things that didnt make me very happy. I got to the point that the Holy Ghost was prompting me enough that I needed to say what He was trying to get me to say. I said,"Do you think when you meet something that is hard that you should give up? Its just to easy to do the wrong thing than the right thing. Do you think that being a member of the church is easy? No its not! Its hard why, Satan is out there and knows all your weaknesses and wants to bring you down. I believe that Satan has a hold of your heart because you allowed him to get a hold of it. Do you think that you can just go whatever you want without any consequences? There will be consequences alright! I testify that you will feel bad for all your wrong doings that you have done and all that you will do!" She just laughed at everything that we told her. Then she said something that really ticked Elder Taylor and I off so hard! She said," I know that your were not like this before you came out on your mission. I know that since you are a missionary you have to keep all the rules but when you go home you wont be like this. You'll be like the other missionaries that I have seen go home. They go home and all those things that they taught me they dont do anymore. That shows me what they taught wasnt that important." Elder Taylor and I testified to her again that we would not be like that. That we would go home and continue to testify just like we were doing now! Needless to say she just laughed the whole time. Something that I want to encourage all missionaries to not disappoint those that they have taught! Stay worthy of their trust! Dont go astray because they will look at your example!

Many more powerful lessons that we taught but not enough time to write them all. At church we had sisters Nii's son, who is as investigator tell us that he wanted to talk to us. After sacrament was over we sat in the foyer and he told us what was on his mind. For about 40 minutes he told us it all. His older sister had sent him a link about Mormons. The link told all this false information about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He read it and said,"Wow that is so false! I have come here and been in the meetings. I have met with the missionaries. I have read the Book of Mormon. I have gone to the web site and none of what was said in the link was correct." He goes on to say," I believe in Joseph Smith. I believe in the Book of Mormon as well. This is the correct church! I want to get baptized here. If people ask me if I am Christian I will tell them that I have Christian but that I am Mormon. I dont care what others say or do. I will be Mormon." Well needless to say we have only taught him one lesson and he already feels this way. Okay that is awesome! He did tell us that he will need time to change. We told him you take all the time that you need and when you are ready you can get baptized! Miracles!

Sunday was another great Sunday!! There was over 100 people at church and we had a total of 14 investigators at church. Things are turning around here!! Miracles are happening everyday. Our little investigator Brother Kim was baptized today! He was so happy!! I had the opportunity to baptize him. He was a very happy boy! His mother bore a small testimony at the baptismal service and she just cried. She was so happy for her son! He will be a great missionary in the future!

Our investigators that we are teaching right now are Kwan, Tong, Boot, Nong, Tin, Hang, Bow, Meg, Jo, Day, May and Ploy, Gaan, Sokia, Gone and Bla. They all need prayers. If you can will you take their names to the temple for me please? I am very pleased with all of our investigators and the progress that they are making everyday!

I know that yesterday was Father Days and I want to tell my dad that I love him very much for his example. He, along with my mother, have taught me so much. I have learned my useful things from him. Thank you dad for all that you do for me and for the family.

Week 17 Bang Khae

Dear Family and Friends

Lately Elder Taylor and I have been searching for all the less actives in the branch. We have had much success finding. Our investigators and those who have gotten baptized have been promising towards inviting friends and family to come learn. Once they get that fire in them they just want to share it with others. This is a great blessing!

This week we had our Missionary Leadership Counsel with President Johnson. I love those meetings because all the leaders in the mission pretty much get together to talk about missionary work. You get to listen to so many different opinions on missionary work. We talked a lot about helping members with their missionary work. WE are called to help members with THEIR missionary work. By helping and really encouraging members to do missionary work we have see more investigators come into our teaching pool. I will say a little more about that a little later.

Elder Taylor really loves records when we arent teaching he is looking at records trying to figure out who we can go find. He is really good at that. Anyways we went searching for some houses this last week and I'd say that we walked for a good part of the day just asking if people new these people we were looking for. After walking around a neighborhood or two we found people how knew one of them. The people told us where she lives so we went that way. We walked into a street where we walked a ways before meeting a guy and his wife. As we talked to him we found out that he was her nephew. The small miracle is that he knew where she lives! We found her house just a street over. She was home and she was willing to talk to us. We talked to her for a little while and found out that she hasnt been to church in over 10 years. She didnt know that they had built a new church. The amazing thing which I didnt know was that she still had her baptismal picture, framed and all. She cried as she talked about how she knew that she had sinned and wanted to repent. She thought everyone at church would judge her for going back to her old ways. We testified to her that no one would do that. She is a great lady! She needs to know come back and just see what happens one Sunday. Others will just praise her for coming back! She's a work in progress.

On a way home one night we met a man at a bus stop. He had in his hands some cigarette making material and a liter. We talked to him for a minute and then I remembered that I had 1 piece of candy in my pocket. I asked the man," Do you want to trade?" In the end the man gave me his crap and I gave him the candy. I think we both walked away from that feeling good. I felt good as I disposed of the crap! Never done that before.

Another experience this last week reconfirmed that people are prepared by the Lord. We invited this lady who said that she was interested in learning with us. We met her two more times after the first visit. Her name is Nong. As we taught she just listened very carefully. She didnt have any questions about anything we taught. She was willing to pray and even read the scriptures. She has shown great faith in just two visits. She told us,"After you left the first day my daughter said the she wanted to learn about Christ with you two." Well I think that is a sign for sure that we were supposed to meet her.

I think over this past week I have said the first vision account of Joseph Smith about 10 times! Each time was powerful! My testimony of the Restoration has increased so much over this past transfer. I have come to understand what the Holy Ghost feels like when it is working on me and others. I can describe the feeling and I just get a overwhelming sensation all over. I love feeling the Holy Ghost. I know that I have heard when you feel the spirit others can feel is as well and possibly just as strong. That is my goal to help all those that we teach to feel the Holy Ghost every lesson.

We have a investigators who is about 9-10 years old. He is a son of a recent convert of about a month or so. Anyways we have been teaching her son and he is great. I told him," When you pray and read about these things that we teach and get an answer, then you can get baptized." He came to me the other day and told me,"Elder I had a dream that I was baptized in the church. Can I get baptized?" Well lets just say he'll get baptized next Sunday!
Sister Nii who got baptized last transfer has been trying to get her son to come meet with us. He accepted and came to church for all 3 hours. We sat down with him afterward and talked about how he felt today. He said,"It is really quite and peaceful here, I like it." We talked about the Restoration and he said,"I already believe that this is the true church." Do you see what happens when members with help do their part with missionary work. Miracles will happen.

Our investigators right now are: Qwan, Tong, Boot, Hang, Brasit, Mong, Kim, May and Ploy, Brasan, Om, Nook, Jo, Day, Nong, Meg, Mam and Bo.

Week 16 Bang Khae

Dear Family and Friends

This last week we had transfers and I ended up staying in Bangkhae. I am happy to be staying here for the remainder of my mission. 6 months in an area I think is great. You can do a lot in one branch or ward. President sent out a letter this last week telling us that lots of us missionaries would be staying in areas longer so that we can work and know the leaders. I like that! Elder Taylor and I will be staying together for the rest of the transfer. We also received to more Elders in the area.

Elder Taylor and I had some great lessons this last week that really boosted our faith and testimonies. We had a interesting lesson with an older gentleman about the Restoration. The whole lesson we could feel the spirit just in the room. By the time the lesson was over we just had a smile on our face with a good feeling inside. Elder Taylor said," I dont know what it was but I think you and I were learning new things in that lesson. I just cant say what it was that we learned." I feel as if we learned how to teach in greater unity.

We met one of our Christian investigators the other day and she was telling us how she wanted to give the Book of Mormon back. When we asked her why she said," You worship Joseph Smith. Also my preacher or priest said,'Those Mormons play the lottery, drink, smoke and party.' That is why I dont want this Book of Mormon anymore." Well we had to take the next few minutes to explain that all of that wasnt true at all. I dont get it why do people have to lie like that. Are you serious?! Why cant Christians be more Christian. They are just ignorant, they just dont know I guess.

We taught a new investigator this last week who was really prepared! He was open with what we talked about which is great. He is interested in learning because of things that his older sister told him about Jesus Christ. He is really willing to keep commitments as well. I love investigators like this! The investigators that we are teaching right now are soo good! They are just progressing right along and it is great to see their progression! I know that the Lord put Elder Taylor and myself her for a reason! We have been going through all the members records and updating them because they are not up to date. This last week we found maybe 10 or so houses with right and wrong address. It takes time to update records but it is worth it.

I called a referral this last week who was given to us about 3 or so months ago. I knew this lady was Christian already but still persisted in trying to meet with her. She told me how at the church she was going to go to she had to learn for a year before she could be "baptized". I told her she could get baptized whenever she wants here BUT she has to have prayed about what we teach and more than likely have a testimony about those things as well. She was shocked! She wants to meet with us know! I hope this goes well because we spent a hour talking on the phone! Jenny is her name, she said,"Wow you are really persistent in meeting with me. I feel like this means a lot to you." Yeah it does!

Sister Rung interviewed this last week and she passed!! Sunday was a great day! We had a good number at church which was good as well. The baptismal font took a while to fill for some reason. The electrical wasnt working that well but we got it filled in time for the baptism. Her daughter was even able to watch as well. Sister Rung was baptized before about 11 years ago somewhere else and she said that she knew this baptism was the correct one and the only one. Her daughter wants to be baptized as well. She is partly handicapped but that is okay. She has a great mother who will help her along the way. The last 3 baptisms here have been great because of the members. They are able to help teach and meet with them. Right now these last 3 are doing well because of the member help.

Our investigators at this time are Kwan,Tong, Boot, Tin, Braseat, Mong, Ooy, Kim, May and Ploy, Brasan, Newk, Om and Hang. They are doing so well and many of them will and can be baptized in the coming weeks. Please pray that they will receive their answers. I like it so much here that I think I will ask my mission president if I can stay here for a few more months! Before I go something that I want you all to think about is: What is the culture of Christ like?

Week 15 Bang Khae

ทุกคนสวัสดีไหมครับเป็นอย่งไรบ้างครับ

Dear Family and Friends

Elder Taylor and I saw a mount of miracles this last week. I know that the hand of the Lord and your prayers have really helped us this last week! It was another great week and Sunday as well! Things are great here! I dont think I want to go home. They can just extend me about few months.

We have had success with finding members who have gone astray for a while. A few weeks ago we printed off a ward list with all their addresses on it. Well the past few weeks we have just been going around town finding all the members that we can. It is funny to say that some of the members we find run away from us ha. I know that it isnt us but when they see us they know what we are hear to do. Finding members this way has led to new investigators as well. We love visiting members all the time and it is really been effective.
On day this past week we had a person that we wanted to find. We went into a neighborhood and walked up and down just about every single street until we thought we wouldnt find it. Well it came down that we found a house and it wasnt the right address. A lady who lived across the street told us that she know she was Christian and told us where to go. Well we went to where that lady said to go and another lady told us where to go from there. The second lady that we met had a daughter who told us about a less active at the church that we have been trying to find. We got that less actives number ha. Well we followed the directions to a group of ladies who directed us to a man who gave us the number of the less actives daughter. That group of ladies then told us where here house was. We called the daughter to get her mothers numbers so we could call her. She then answered and told us that we had found her house. Well about 2 hours later we found what we were looking for and more. No one knew where this lady was so we have to exhaust all paths before we can say," We cant find that person." I think that is a reason Im on a mission, to find all those who have disappeared. Lately we have been finding less actives. We found another one who let us in and his wife is a potential investigator too. Some are willing to meet but not come back right now. We are doing our best to help them come back.

One investigator in particular this last week just didnt seem like he wanted to learn anymore. Well we told him that he really needs to figure it out. We told him that he needs to pray and talk with Heavenly Father. "If you get an answer you give us a call by 9:30 pm and we will know that you want to learn with his more. If you dont call we will know you dont want to learn anymore." Well he didnt call. Thats all I can say. Sometimes you have to drop those that dont keep commitments.

Sister Rung this last week came into a lesson and was telling us how she was just having a really hard time. She was telling us about how her mother was accepting of her and this and that. It was really hard to listen to because she deserves better. She was just crying and I had a thought. I grabbed a few hymn books and told her that we would sing two songs. I knew that singing would help us say things that are hard to say. We sang, Let the Holy Spirit Guide and then I Need Thee Every Hour. The spirit was so strong! You could feel it so powerfully! After we sang and said a prayer she said that she was felt so much better! 3 days later we met with her again and ended up singing a song before we ended the lesson by singing The Spirit of God. It was just like the other day, so powerful! I challenge you that if you are stuck with a investigator to sing a song with them. It has really help us and our investigators a lot!

Brother Tong had still not prayed about Joseph Smith. He said he didnt know how Heavenly Father would answer him. We have told him so many times that the Holy Ghost would answer your prayer in a way that you'll understand. In the middle of the lesson he asked," Can I pray and ask right now?" Well yes of course you can. He prayed right then and after about 2 minutes of silence he got his answer that Joseph Smith was true. He's getting baptized on June 12th! Another one of our investigators in Christian and we gave her a Book of Mormon. She wants to know what are the "Mormons" like. Well everyone here things that we are a cult. Well if you have been to our services you'll know that we aren't. Her daughter really doesnt want her to talk to us or read the Book of Mormon. The investigator told us the other day," I think my daughter took my Book of Mormon from me. Can I have another? This time I will make sure she doesnt find it." Ha so funny!

Right now Elder Taylor and I have our hands full of work! Weather it is investigators, less actives or branch work. Our days are usually always full! I like full days of work. I dont like to take breaks! I love getting to the end of the day and just feeling so tired. This last Sunday was great! We had a total of 15 investigators at church and a new record for people at church!! Our investigators still need your prayers. Our investigators are: Tong, Rung, Boot, Tin, Boy, Kim, May and Ploy, Nook, Bik, Om, Der, Daa,Meg, Noah, Braseat, Ooy.

Today I called one of my RC's, she said,"Elder Hinckley my mom is interested!" That makes me so happy!

Week 14 Bang Khae

Dear Family and Friends

Elder Taylor and I are very happy with the progress in our area! Things are going very well. We have had to drop some investigators because they wont keep commitments but other than that things are going well. We have had some great lessons this last week where the spirit was felt and people cried. We also go to go on a switch off out of the country! Ill tell you about that later ha.

One of our investigators was telling Elder Taylor and I about her old church. She said," If you were at my old church you would be the prophets." Ha well we would still be missionaries. She also said,"I feel as if this place is like the prophets and my old church is like the pharisees and the sadducee's." That make Elder Taylor and I laugh for sure. That was sister Rung. She is doing quite well. We had a really good lesson about faith with her. She is someone that has read the Book of Mormon and said," Its way similar to the Bible. It has to be true." She loves to use the Bible so that gives Elder Taylor and I a chance to use the Bible in our lessons with her. She really enjoys that. We were able to use a really good scripture from James 2 which talks about faith. Look it up.

A few weeks ago I was asked to baptized one of the sisters investigators. Well this member has a son who wants to learn with the missionaries. He only wants to learn with the Elders though. He is only 9 years old and really respectful. We asked him why he wanted to be baptized and he said," I want to be baptized so I can live with my family forever and that my sins will be washed away." I thought that was a great answer for a 9 year old. On Sunday I walked into the church and he says," Elder I prayed about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon! I believe it to be true." Wow that is awesome! See even little kids can keep commitments. Kim is his name and something interesting about him is that he likes to give the closing prayer at the end of English class. He shows all the adults that even little kids can pray ha.

Elder Taylor and I taught this a investigator for the second time just the other day. To be really honest with all of you he was really hard hearted! We had challenged him to read and pray about the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith but he hadnt. Elder Taylor and I got into this testifying mood with this man. No one was yelling but the spirit was witnessing to this man what we said was truth. We told him," Only through Jesus Christ will you receive Salvation. He is the only way and what we can give you will help you have Salvation." He said," Okay well I dont want Salvation." Okay we left it at that, ended the lesson and let the man go. Not everyone will hearken to the voice of the Savior.

Brother Tong another one our investigators who is getting very close to baptism hasnt prayed about anything that we have taught him. We were shocked! He said that he believes it all since the first day. We told him that was not enough. He needed to get an answer from Heavenly Father that all this was true. If we dont asked we wont know. We met with him 3 days in a row and each day he told us that he still hadnt prayed to know if anything we taught was true. On the 3rd day he said that he would finally go home and pray about what we had taught. We told him that he cant get baptized unless he prays and asks Heavenly Father. We think that got him. Other than that Tong is great! We even gave him a tie so he could wear it with his white shirt he always wears!

In one lesson this last week with Sister Yuki she asked us about the pre mortal life. She said she still didnt really understand it but after we explained it she understood more. She asked," So Heavenly Father wants us to become like him right? How do we do that?" What a great question. We gave her a few example about how she could do that but the member in the room gave such a great answer. He had come with us to visit a member at their home this last week. The member gave us some milk to take home. On the way home he saw me give some milk to someone sitting on the sidewalk. He said," Elder Hinckley drank the milk at the members home and said that is was very good. The member then gave the Elders some more mile to take home. On the way home I saw Elder Hinckley take something that he thought was good and give it to someone in need. That man that needed the thing that Elder Hinckley had will then be able to give or share that with others in need." Oh my goodness that made me cry as well as sister Yuki. I learned two things from that lesson, this first was that we need to take the things that Heavenly Father has given to us and share them with others, so others can bless others. The second is that others will see what you do. What you do will leave an impact on others so watch what you do.

Elder Taylor and I were asked to go do a switch of in Myanmar this last week! It was a great switch off! We had to fly to Myanmar and give some special training that President Johnson needed to get out to the missionaries there but didnt have time to do it himself. I will tell you what, Myanmar is so clean compared to Thailand. The dress is so modest! A lot of people can speak English there which is great! Anyways I learned many many things from that switch off over there. It was something that I wont forget. Elder Taylor and I were only there a day but we made it a goal to go back after our missions.

Sister Yuki and Sister Nii were confirmed on Sunday! Sunday was another great day! It was just as great as last week! Our investigators are Tong, Rung, Boot, Tin, Kim, May and Ploy, Big, Bon, Dong and Der. They need your prayers! Some of the recent converts that I have taught and baptized also need your prayers as well. Sister A, Sister Dingdoy, Brother Jade, Brother Doughnut, Sister Shompoo. They need help at this time.

Week 13 Bank Khae

Dear Family and Friends

These past two weeks I have just been so happy! I can say that we have worked really hard to deserve the happiness that we have right now but that would not be right. All of the success that we have had is from the Lords hand in the work. We can not have done anything these last two weeks if it wasnt for Him pointing the way. We have seen so many blessings and miracles these past two weeks. Thank you for you prayers for our investigators.

We were teaching one of our investigators sister Rung. She is Christian already and just this last week in one of our lessons she told us,"Okay I'm ready to be baptized." That made Elder Taylor and I feel like a million pounds had just been lifted. On Sunday we sat down with her and she told us some things that had been on her mind. Her daughter is handicapped and people will make fun of her daughter for being the way she is. We expressed that we were sorry for other people and their negative words. She also went on to tell us how her daughter had not learned about Jesus before. We had only met her taught her once and Sister Rung was very happy. She cried as she told us the many things that had been on her mind. She told us," Here is where I feel I am finding my answers." She is progressing greatly! She has such a strong testimony. She has a friend that is a member here, who was once a member at her old church. That friend has been able to help her understand the Gospel. Elder Taylor and I have high hopes for her. She has a date for the 29th!

Sister Nii passed her baptismal interview last Wednesday which made Elder Taylor and I very happy! We know that she is ready because she has told us. She tells us that she wants her children to come as well. She has a daughter that wants to come as well! I love that! After she passed her interview we sat down with her and Sister Yuki and talked about the temple. We showed them a temple video that a member made about the temple and they felt the spirit. It was amazing to see their eyes as we watch the video. They are two people that are very ready to be baptized.

One of our investigators the other day was telling us how she didnt read the Book of Mormon but watched You-tube and looked on Google instead. "I did it because it was easier than reading", she told us. I flat out told her," Sister you will not know or gain a testimony of the Book of Mormon by using those things, they have to benefit." I think it hit her a little bit. The past few lessons have been really hard with her because she will just ask for blessings. It kind of doesnt set well with us. We've tried to help her understand how prayer is more than asking, it is a communication between us and Him. We need to make a good relationship with Him. Well about two days later, on a switch off, she changed!! I was almost thrown off. She told us that she had actually prayed to Him and had a conversation. We taught the gospel and she accepted a baptismal date! She said the best prayer I've ever heard her say! I didnt know what to think. All I thought was you are starting to understand! I know that at times it will take a while for someone to understand, so dont give up on them. Now if they are not keep commitments that is a different story.

Elder Taylor and I have made it a goal to visit as many members as possible this transfer. So far it is going well. I've been able to meet the members and listen to their stories rather than us just teaching. We ask them to share their conversion with us but that is how we teach. We help them see the blessing they have received from living the Gospel. In one meeting with an old branch president he said," Elders I think you have inspired me to share the gospel again and find an investigator. My wife and I will pray about those we can share the Gospel with." It was great to listen of their service and their conversion. I love visiting members at their homes!

Sunday! It was the best Sunday that Elder Taylor nor I have ever had on our missions. We had over a 100 people at church which never happens. We had many less active and investigators. The speakers were so good! They lessons were great! To top it off we had 2 baptisms! Almost all of our investigators saw the baptism. Sister Yuki and Sister Nii both bore wonderful testimonies! We had such a good week! All thanks goes to Heavenly Father and you for your prayers. Elder Taylor and I just felt like yesterday was so good!

Those that we are teaching are Yuki, Nii, Tong, Rung, Boot, Tin, May and Ploy, Bik, Bon, Om, Der, please pray for them. Also for missionary work to happen in our branch.

The Church is True!

Week 12 Bang Khae

Dear Family and Friends

Elder Taylor and I had a lesson where I felt as if we were like the missionaries in the scriptures. The whole time that we were teaching this man he wouldnt listen to anything we had to say. The things he knew about Christianity was twisted and not right. This lesson was a wrestle for sure. As we got the lesson under control Elder Taylor and I bore testimony to this man the whole time. He talked so much and wouldnt listen but when we would bare our testimony he was silent. He didnt say a word. I thought to myself," Can you not feel the spirit that is in the room? That spirit is testifying to you that what we are telling you is truth." Well he didnt want any of it. It would just go in one ear and out the other. Elder Taylor and I had never had a lesson like the before. It wasnt that we were yelling or being rude but all we did was teach by our testimony. It made us mad that he wouldnt listen to the truth. Well we left that day feeling like we had testified to our fullest!

In another lesson this last week we met with an investigator that we have been teaching of a little while. Brother Om is a little younger, he's a teenager. We were really debating weather to keep teaching him or not by what happened that lesson because he wasnt really progressing. He told us that he was here to learn more about Christianity because it was good stuff. We told him that we were here to help others repent and help others come unto Christ by making covenants with God. We told him that if he wasnt willing to do that we would stop right here. We told him," Okay Brother your job is to go home and pray to God. You need to counsel with Him and ask if you need to keep learning. If you get an answers call us tomorrow and let us know that you want to keep learning. Make sure that you ask with real intent because God doesnt answer curiosity. If you dont call we know that you are not interested anymore." Well long story short he called us the next day and he told us that when he prayed he felt Gods love. He knew that God was listening to his prayers. He wants to learn more. Okay now we can get down to whats important.

Sister Yuki had her baptismal interview this last week and we did all that we could to prepare her for it. Well we waited as she got interviewed. About 20-25 minutes later she comes out with flying colors! She passed her interview!!! Yeah we were so happy. The Elder that interviewed her said that she was the best person he has ever interviewed before! This next Sunday will be a great day! BAPTISM!!! Sister Nii our other investigator will also get interviewed this week for this coming Sunday! Both of these sisters are prepared for sure! Elder Taylor and I are very happy for the progress that we have seen over the past few weeks this both of them.

We were teaching the Restoration this last week to a Christian. He didnt reject our message because he was open to hear us out. As we told him about Joseph Smith and when he saw God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ, the man was speechless. A a day or so before he had a dream similar to what Joseph Smith saw. He got goose bumps as we told him the experience of Joseph Smith. That was really cool! We dont know what will come of that but he knew that what Joseph Smith saw really happened.

Another one of our investigators who is investigating from another church went to go talk to her priests at her old church. She just wanted to know what they thought about the "Mormons". She didnt tell them that she was learning with us. Anyways when she asked them they just started to rip us apart. Saying this and that and all these things that werent true. She just thought," wow that is not true at all. Ive come here and thats not true." Well this sister is getting close to knowing the truth for herself.

This last week was great! Elder Taylor and I worked really hard to get things done and we could see the fruits of our labors! The Lords hand was in the work for sure and we couldnt do it with out His help. At church we had a good amount of investigators but what was awesome was that we had about 15 less actives come! That was a great miracle that we could see for sure!
Right now our investigators are Yuki, Nii, Tong, Brasit, Rung, Tin, Boot, Bon, Om, Der, Gong and  few others that are floating around!

Love Elder Hinckley
