Week 11 Bang Khae

Dear Family and Friends

I cannot put into words how Elder Taylor and I felt about this last week! We taught some great lessons and great investigators!! Things are going right along. We are looking forward to having some baptisms on the 15th as well!

For a Family Home Evening activity this last week with some young single adults we talked about testimonies. We asked each person to think of someone that they loved that wasn't a member of the church. We then gave each person an envelope and a piece of paper. We then asked each person to write down their testimony. It doenst have to be something really long or fancy but write something from your heart. Elder Taylor and I feel when you write your testimony down it'll get stronger. At the end of the activity we invited each person to give their testimony to that person that they thought of. I hope that we, you and I will all be able to do this. It is something that is small and simple, it doenst take much time and it can be of great worth to those that are struggling. What if it was your testimony that changed a person perspective or helped them in a time of need? Now I'm not saying that you have to give it someone who is not a member. Give it to those that need help. I testify that if we put a little effort into sharing our testimonies with others they will feel the spirit touch their lives and your testimony will be stronger!

We had an awesome experience with one our investigators this last week! So Sister Yuki (is how you spell her name, not You-gee ha) told us that she had something to tell us this last week. We were both anticipating what she was going to tell us. We both thought that should say that she is ready to be baptized. We sat down on Tuesday talked just for a few minutes and it seemed like she couldn't hold it in anymore. She said,"Elder, I am ready to be baptized! I know this is true for myself!" I know some of you know the joy and the happiness that I felt when she told us that. We told her that this decision will bless her for the rest of her life! She is very prepared and I know that she is one reason that I was sent to this area!

Another one of our investigators had not yet prayed about the Book of Mormon. We really challenged her to pray about the Book of Mormon because then she would get her answer that this is true or not. Well Sunday came in a lesson with her she said that she knows this is true. She said,"I want to pray all the time! I want to go to church every week! I want to be baptized!" When people tell you those words I just know that we as missionaries and members have done our job. We still have to fellowship and teach but she is starting to create her own testimony. Sister Nii will be baptized on the 15th as well.

The power of the priesthood is very real. I love the talks from conference that talked about the priesthood. On a switch off with the assistants to the president my companion and I ran into a less active. This guy had about 3 investigators in his apartment for us to teach. We were not able to stay long but we did do one thing before we left. One of his friends had a stroke and he is okay but he said,"I feel awful about my health." We asked if he would like a blessing and explained that it is by faith that you are healed by the power of God. This past week I was able to be in a lot of blessings. It is a great opportunity to serve Heavenly Fathers children. Something we cannot forget is we may give a blessing but what was said my not come about. It is by our faith in Heavenly Father and according to His will that miracles can happen. I have learned a thing or two about that and know that all things can happen by those that have faith in Him who gives us all.

I feel such a satisfaction from these experiences. These past 3 months I have been very happy with the work that I have done. I have felt and seen the Lords hand in His work guiding and directing others and myself. We still have a lot of work that needs to get done and we will get it done even if it takes me to my last day! These last few days Elder Taylor and I have had just days where we teach teach teach all day! Those days are the best days!!

Sunday was a great day! We had 7 investigators at church but 6 who stayed for all three hours. Then after church we were able to teach 4 of them. It was a challenge to teach them all but we came out on top today! People were taught, the spirit was felt and the waters of baptism will be filled! Our investigators are: Yuki, Tin, Nii, Tong, Din, Bon, Oom, Poon, May & Ploy, Der, O and a few more that are floating around. Some still need the confirmation that this is true. Others need to keep commitments and come to church. They need your prayers.

Id like to say that I love my mom very much!!

love
